What to eat

You cannot leave Valparaiso without tasting at least one of its typical dishes

>Empanada de mariscos (pastry stuffed with seafood)
>Fried fish with mashed potatoes (fish, typically Merluza, in its batter)
>Chorillana (literally a pile of fries, sauteed onions and meat and mayonnaise)

Very Chilean ´must eat´are also
>Sandwiches as Churrasco, Chacarrero, Barros Lucos
>Cazuela de Ave ó Cazuela de Vacuno (Chicken or Beef in its stock with vegetables)
>Sopaipillas (‘dry’ or ‘sweetly sauced’ fried pumpkin batter)
and of course
>the infamous Completo (the Chilean hotdog)
